Running a parent group is real work. Budgets. Board meetings. Bake sales. Room parent assignments the week before school starts. A fundraising goal you're supposed to hit with volunteers who all have full lives outside this. Most people step into this role with zero training and figure it out as they go — usually while also working, parenting, and trying to remember whose turn it is to bring napkins to the fall festival.
That's the gap The PTO Collective was built to close.
Why this place exists
The PTO Collective started because that gap needed filling.
Behind it is a mom of two boys who's held nearly every volunteer role there is — Cub Scout leader, event volunteer, event chairperson for dozens of fundraisers (and still counting) — across both public and Catholic school settings. Along the way, that work has helped raise thousands of dollars for kids and schools, because every dollar raised means something a classroom or school experience actually needed.
That experience is why our systems work for any school and any type of volunteer group — PTO, PTA, HSA, booster club, church group, homeschool co-op, or whatever your community calls it.
That experience is also where The Planning Post comes in. It's our shop of done-for-you PTO systems and tools — the ones we built because we needed them ourselves and couldn't find them anywhere else.
